Our Practice Areas

At PSG, we offer a wide range of mental health services tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our practice areas include:

01

Adult Psychotherapy

Adult psychology focuses on understanding the emotional, cognitive, and social development of individuals from young adulthood through older age. It examines how life experiences, relationships, and personal challenges shape behavior, thought patterns, and mental health. Therapy for adults often addresses issues like stress, anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, life transitions, and personal growth, helping individuals develop healthier coping mechanisms, improve emotional well-being, and lead fulfilling lives.

02

Helping professionals often experience high levels of stress, trauma, and emotional strain from their daily work, which can lead to burnout, compassion fatigue, PTSD, and difficulty in managing personal relationships. Therapy provides a safe, confidential space to process these experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and restore emotional well-being. The goal is to support first responders in maintaining their mental health so they can continue serving others without compromising their own well-being.

03

Young adult therapy focuses on helping individuals navigate the unique challenges of early adulthood, typically between the ages of 18 and 30. This stage of life often involves significant transitions, such as leaving home, building careers, forming relationships, and establishing independence. Therapy can help with issues like identity exploration, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship struggles, and the pressure to succeed. Through a supportive, non-judgmental space, young adults can gain insight, build coping skills, and develop the emotional resilience needed to thrive during this pivotal life stage.

04

Post-traumatic stress therapy helps individuals process and heal from the lasting effects of trauma, such as PTSD. This therapy focuses on addressing the emotional, mental, and physical symptoms caused by traumatic experiences, including flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and emotional numbness. Through evidence-based techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and trauma-focused therapy, individuals can gain tools to reduce distress, reframe negative thoughts, and reclaim a sense of safety and control in their lives. The goal is to empower clients to heal and move forward, finding peace and resilience after trauma.

05

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma. It involves the use of guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation while recalling distressing memories, which helps the brain reprocess these experiences in a healthier way. EMDR is particularly effective for conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and phobias, as it can reduce the emotional charge attached to traumatic memories, allowing individuals to gain new perspectives and achieve emotional healing. It is a structured, evidence-based approach that often leads to significant improvement in a relatively short period.

06

Our Intensive EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) sessions are designed for individuals seeking deep therapeutic progress in a shorter timeframe. Rather than the traditional weekly model, intensive sessions offer extended, highly focused EMDR therapy over the course of several hours or consecutive days. This is an ideal format for clients wanting to address trauma more quickly, with limited time for weekly appointments, those preparing for or recovering from major life transitions or who have plateaued in regular talk therapy. Intensives can be scheduled as half-day, full-day, or multi-day packages depending on your needs.
